The Lady Trojans were conquered on Saturday by Ronan, 36-40.

“We get better and better each game,” Trojans Coach Tony Smith said. “With each game we gain experience.”

The Ladies continue to fight hard this season, looking for a win. They almost got their shot in this game.

“We can’t look at one game,” Smith said. “We need to look at the whole season — take it to the next season.”

Consistenly the Trojans scored close to their competion. Several times taking the lead and giving hope to their fans.

A failed attempt to score in the last 30 seconds of the game gave Ronan the advantage to rally the ball, wearing the clock down.

The Ladies had no time to answer back, losing by 4 points.

Troy will host Eureka on Thursday.

“The girls will compete and we will play hard,” Smith said.
