CABINET: Real-life work not needed
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 7 months AGO
The R. Clough Foundation listed a very interesting set of statistics on the percentage of past presidents' cabinets who had worked in the private business sector (a real-life job outside of government) prior to being appointed to the cabinet.
Twelve presidents since World War II (six of each party):
Truman (D) 50 percent
Eisenhower (R) 67 percent
Kennedy (D) 30 percent
Johnson (D) 47 percent
Nixon (R) 53 percent
Ford (R) 42 percent
Carter (D) 32 percent
Reagan (R) 56 percent
G. H. Bush (R) 51 percent
Clinton (D) 39 percent
G. W. Bush (R) 55 percent
Obama (D) 8 percent
Out of all the presidents since World War II, we have an existing president placing people into positions putting this country in the largest indebtedness since the Great Depression, trying to tell our businesses how to conduct their operations and urging Congress to pass corporate laws, yet have absolutely NO CLUE and no experience whatsoever of their own. We are in a spiraling disaster. How do you like your great CHANGE?
