West Glacier bull rider Beau Hill was the only competitor to go 3-for-3 at the 33rd annual Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals in Great Falls on Jan. 13-15.

Meanwhile, Columbia Falls bullrider Matt Triplett had the average high score for a win at Elite Professional Bullriding Finals in Butte Jan. 21.

Triplett turned in a weekend-best 252.5 points on three rides. He posted an 82.5 go on Knothead in Saturday's short-go.

"It was nice to get a win this early in the season," he said.

Hill finished as the average winner with a 235-point total, earning him $2,485. He finished up the three-day event with a 73-point ride on Sunday that earned him $966.

While Nevada Newman, of Melrose, and Luke Gee, of Stanford, posted better rides on Sunday, Hill had the best ride on Saturday, an 86-point ride on a bull named Whiskey Jack. Only two of the 12 bull riders scored on Saturday.

Hill has won four Circuit Finals year-end titles in his career. He has competed in the National Finals Rodeo and is a member of the Professional Bull Riders Tour.
