The Kootenai County Reagan Republicans will host a candidate forum Thursday in Coeur d'Alene featuring the announced Republican candidates for Kootenai County Sheriff.

The forum will take place during the group's noon lunch meeting at Fedora Pub & Grille, 1726 W. Kathleen Ave.

Candidates Bob Foster, John Green, Keith Hutcheson, and Ben Wolfinger have been invited to participate and three have confirmed.

John Green has not yet confirmed whether he will attend.

The four announced candidates will compete to be the Republican nominee selected during the May 15 Kootenai County Primary Election.

The window for candidates to file their declarations of candidacy opens Feb. 27 and ends at 5 p.m. March 9.

KCRR is a Republican activist organization that supports the election of Republican candidates.

In 2010 KCRR held candidates forums and debates for various offices contested in the Republican primary. This year's forum is a component of the vetting process KCRR will use to make Primary Election endorsements.
