Scouts complete 100 miles for 100 years

Five Columbia Falls Boy Scouts traveled 100 miles in Glacier National Park by bicycle, foot and raft in 2010.
The effort was a challenge by the National Park Service to commemorate Glacier Park's centennial.
Ansen Ingraham, Logan Kolodejchuck, Qynn Ingraham, Skylar Chute and Dawson Chute of Troop 1941 all completed the feat.
The five scouts rafted the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, completed several long hikes and bicycled in the Park. Some also cross-country skied.
Along the way, the scouts saw grizzly and black bears and a red fox and watched an otter eat a fish.
Last week, Glacier Park superintendent Chas Cartwright presented the youths with a certificate of achievement for their efforts.
