If you want to use the Honeysuckle Boat Launch to float your boat on Hayden Lake during the off season, it's going to cost you.

The Hayden City Council voted on Tuesday to start charging year-round fees to use the popular boat launching spot. The change is effective immediately.

The fees will be used to make improvements to the Honeysuckle Beach facilities that benefit boat launch users.

Previously, fees were charged from Memorial Day through Labor Day only.

Annual passes are available for purchase at Hayden City Hall.

Daily launch permits cost $4 for Hayden residents, $6 for Idaho residents and $8 for out of state residents.

Annual launch passes, valid for the entire calendar year, cost $30 for Hayden residents, $45 for Idaho residents and $60 for out of state residents.
