Hang on for captivating tidbits

• Las Palmitas has closed at Third and Lakeside. Watch for news on this historical building. The rumor is that its liquor license went to the folks from the Wine Cellar, who have plans for the Icon space above on Sherman Avenue. We're gathering details on this.

• Speaking of wine, Barrel Room No. 6 will close Tuesday in its downtown space and open in March in Coeur d'Alene Cellars at 3890 N. Schreiber Way. We'll have details on that soon also.

• And watch for details on Joey T's Taste of Chicago in Rathdrum and Cafe Rio in the Fred Meyer complex.
