It won't happen until the end of the year, but Capone's Pub & Grill will be adding its third Kootenai County location.

Boosted by its success in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls, Tom and Teresa Capone's new venture will be in the building that has been Cory's Furniture off the southeast corner of Government Way and Hayden Avenue. The 1,600-square-foot location will offer the same menu and beer (41 taps!) and wine that it has for 21 years.

My Grizzly buddies and I frequented Capone's when we discovered the place's sports TV featured University of Montana football games.

Vivo expanding to fifth store

Another Coeur d'Alene store expanding with its success is Vivo's.

Primarily offering trendy clothes to younger women, owners Dale and Shawnda Rainey opened the downtown Coeur d'Alene store in 2009 and added outlets in the Spokane Valley Mall, Northtown Mall and Riverpark Square. The new clearance/distribution center will open at 296 E. Sunset Ave. (across Highway 95 from Chili's) by Aug. 1. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

"Our fifth store will facilitate our expansion into the Seattle market with plans for two stores next year," Dale said. "Our goal is two stores per year throughout Western Washington."

Originally from Central California, the Raineys came to North Idaho in 2009 "because of the clean air, outdoor activities and wonderful people," Dale said. They both have extensive business backgrounds. They have 32 employees and will add six with the new store.

New owner for Handy Mart

In business for more than 30 years at 312 N. Spokane in Post Falls, the Handy Mart has a new owner with Karla Barnes.

She bought the convenience store-gas station in early June and has five employees. Hours are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Phone 773-4314.

Americantiques opens on Fourth

The Americantiques Antique Mall opens this week at 212 N. Fourth St. in downtown Coeur d'Alene.

Moving from Silver Lake Mall, owner Larry Jones said the 100-year-old new location has hardwood floors and brick and wooden walls with beams in the huge front showroom. Custom colors and quality accents were added to the 5,000-square-foot place.

He describes himself as an antique collector and picker and painting and decorating contractor for 30 years. Originally from Ohio, he has sold antiques here for seven years.

"Our new store will offer a variety of quality antiques and collectables as well as vintage home decor," Jones said. "The mall will be comprised of 30-plus dealer booths with a wide variety of artwork both antique as well as vintage and custom paintings by local artists, locally made organic soaps, candles, antique vintage and costume jewelry, quality antique and vintage furniture, retro and industrial collectibles, farm and country antiques, some European antiques and glassware, crystal, china and figurines, antique and collectible clocks, watches, pocket watches, knives, militaria and older books."

Plenty of new Tidbits:

• Businesses that have closed include Tara B's in Ironwood Square, Lemongrass Restaurant downtown and The Picket Fence in Hayden Creek Plaza.

• Driving through Central Washington this past week, the sky was so clear I easily saw Mount Rainier from Ritzville. I noticed the drive-through at the Moses Lake McDonald's also had a handy drive-beside trash can. The crop names on signs beside the highway west of Moses Lake are interesting. And the windmills on the Vantage slope are so huge that each must take six semi-trucks to get there.

• Watch for a new business across from Capone's on Fourth Street.

• A group of birds is a flock. A group of baboons is a congress. Hmmm.

• Things are divided ''between" two people and "among" more than two.
