Orofino 9-4

Loggers 6-14

COEUR d'ALENE - Devin Kluss hit a three-run homer and finished with four RBIs in the second game as the Coeur d'Alene Loggers split an American Legion "A" doubleheader against Orofino on Saturday at McEuen Field.

In the first game, J.J. Winger struck out six through five innings, but Orofino rallied for the win.

"We held them pretty tight," Coeur d'Alene coach Mike Bacon said. "Winger threw a good game, but got tired and we gave up a few key hits and gave them some runs."

Kluss also earned the win in the second game for Coeur d'Alene (8-9, 2-3 NIL), which hosts Moscow in a doubleheader Monday at 5 p.m. at McEuen Field.
