Skydivers, live music and deals on everything from crafts to car parts will be part of the Midway Swap Meet and Farmers Market grand opening Friday.
The swap meet will run twice a week all summer in the former Midway Drive-in at the corner of Montana 40 and U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls.
On Fridays, the meet runs from 5 to 11 p.m., with live music until 10 p.m. Saturday’s swap meet is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
General admission is $1, with children 6 and under free. Parking is free. Each week, the public admission ticket is good for drawings of goods donated by vendors.
Vendors are invited to sign up for booth space to sell anything from crafts to car parts to corn and other fresh food. Space is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Booth space is 10 by 15 feet and costs $20 per day or $35 for the weekend. Call 863-9741 to receive a vendor packet, or visit the swap meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays to pick up a packet and choose booth space in person.
The Lost Prairie Skydivers will perform an opening day jump Friday, and local bands HumanLab and God Fearing Women are slated to perform. Additional bands are on tap throughout the summer. For bookings, contact Ed Doctor at 261-9535 or email [email protected].
For more information, find the swap meet on Facebook.
