Lindholm, Hickok tied after 36 holes; Lee tops women's field at Fourth of July Tournament

Logan Lindholm of Kalispell and Kramer Hickok of Plano, Texas, are tied atop the leaderboard after 36 holes at the 76th annual Fourth of July Tournament at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.
Lindholm, who held a 1-shot lead after Thursday’s opening round session with a 68 on the North Course, came back with a 70 on the South Course Friday for a 138 total.
Hickok shot 69 both days to also rest at 138 with the final 18 holes to be played today on the North Course.
Reed Platke of Whitefish, 69-70—139, is just one shot back along with Andrew Medley of Scottsdale, Ariz., 71-68—139.
Andrew Passanante of Moorhead, Minn., 69-62—141, and Ben Leestma of Great Falls, 70-71—141, are tied for fifth.
Shawn Tucker of Whitefish, 72-70—142, is holding down the sixth position.
Defending champ Craig Hurlburt of Hamilton, 73-73—146, is tied for 11th place.
Robb Bergeson of Billings, who finished third last year, is 10th, 71-74—145.
In women’s play, Morgan Lee of Great Falls shot an 80 on the North Course Friday for a 154 two-day total. She holds a 2-shot edge on Lindsay Reeve of Ronan, 79-77—156.
Maggie Crippen of Missoula had the best round on the second day with a 71 to sit just three shots behind the leader at 157.
Rounding out the top five are Hillary Folkvord of Bozeman, 76-85—161, and Teigan Avery of Kalispell, 86-78—164.
The women finish play today on the South Course.
Lee finished 10th last year at this tournament.
The women’s defending champion — Rikka Holiday of Bozeman — is not entered.
