COEUR d'ALENE - As part of the Coeur d'Alene School District's efforts to have the community "see for themselves" the condition of schools, Saturday will be the first of a series of five school tours held this summer.

From 5-8 p.m., the community can tour Winton Elementary and see the needs of Winton and what the bond could provide for the school.

The school bond election on Tuesday, Aug. 28 proposes a $32.7 million school construction bond that would provide improvements and major renovations to five aging schools: Winton, Sorensen, Canfield, Borah and Bryan.

Heating, ventilation and technology upgrades are also proposed at other schools across the district.

Summer bond tour schedule.

Winton Elementary - Saturday, July 14, 5-8 p.m.

Sorensen Magnet School - Wednesday, July 18, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Canfield Middle School - Tuesday, July 31, 5-7 p.m.

Borah Elementary - Tuesday, Aug. 7 4-6 p.m.

Bryan Elementary - Thursday, Aug. 9 5-7 p.m.
