DeHaas, an infielder and catcher from Coeur d'Alene High and Northwest Nazarene University, is batting .289 (13 for 45) with eight RBIs and 11 runs scored for the Wolfpack (8-9 entering Tuesday), a Boise collegiate summer baseball league team. DeHaas also has a home run and 15 infield assists.

Leonard, a junior from Lakeland High, was announced as one of 82 Vandal student-athletes to be named to the 2012 Western Athletic Conference All-Academic team for spring sports. To be eligible, a student must have completed at least one year at the school, participated in at least 50 percent of his or her team's contests and hold a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Wood, a Coeur d'Alene High graduate and sophomore at Northwest Nazarene, was recently added to the Spokane Shine (4-2-2) of the Women's Premier Soccer League. Wood started 17 of 18 games as a freshman and earned a spot on the Dean's List at Northwest Nazarene with a 3.5 GPA in pre-med.

Capaul, a pitcher from Lake City High, struck out six in five innings for the Silver Hawks (45-43) in a 10-2 win over Fort Wayne on Monday in South Bend, Ind. Capaul allowed one earned run and three hits to drop his earned run average to 5.94 in six appearances after joining the Class A Midwest League long-season affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 25.
