A Kootenai County sheriff's deputy pulled a teen boy from beneath the water at the mill pond area of Spirit Lake a short time ago.

The condition of that boy, and the condition of another teen boy who was able to get out of the water on his own, is unknown at this time.

One of the teens was transported by land to Kootenai Medical Center, and the other was taken by helicopter to a hospital, reports KCSD Maj. Ben Wolfinger.

The boys, who were swimming, are believed to be from the Spirit Lake area. Their identities have not been released by authorities.

The Press will update this report as soon as additional details become available.
