Timothy Donald Fristoe, 32, of Post Falls, died suddenly Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He was born June 3, 1980, in Coeur d’Alene to Rick Fristoe and Janice (Gearing) Fristoe.

In 2000 Tim received the gift of life when he received a donor heart transplant at Sacred Heart in Spokane and was doing well until his recent hospitalization. Upon his death, Tim, in turn, became an organ donor and gave two people the gift of sight.

Tim married Heather Johnson on Oct. 3, 2008, in Coeur d’Alene. At the time of his death he and Heather were living in Post Falls. Tim loved camping, boating, fishing and was an avid bowler from the age of 5, and bowled in several leagues in Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. He also bowled in several tournaments in Reno, Las Vegas, Nev., and Florida. Tim loved bowling, but more than that, he loved his devoted wife Heather, and his 19-month-old daughter, Chloe, and loved spending time with them.

Tim worked at Silverwood Theme Park from 1996 to the present. Tim and his wife Heather owned Fristoe Entertainment (a DJ company), and had recently opened the Pro Shop at Sunset Bowling Center in Coeur d’Alene where he wanted to work full time.

He is survived by his wife, Heather, and daughter, Chloe; mother Janice Fristoe; brother Patrick Fristoe; grandmother Joyce Gearing; great-grandmother Carolyn McCorkle, all, of Post Falls; father Rick Fristoe and wife Jacque of Rathdrum; grandparents, Ron and Jan Fristoe of Medford, Ore.; mother-in-law Sue Johnson; sister-in-law Esther Monroe and husband Mirha; sisters-in-law, Rebekah and Rachel Johnson, and Cheryl Crain, all of Athol; aunt Tamara Gearing and fiancé Michael Maestas; cousin Carl Green of Coeur d’Alene; cousin Tina Brewster and husband Travis of Colfax, Wash.; uncles, Tim Mower of England and Randy of Virginia; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Donald Gearing. His life was cut much too short, but he touched many lives on his journey.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Candlelite Christian Fellowship, Coeur d’Alene, with burial at 3 p.m. in Riverview Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene.
