KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A 47-yard field goal try by Kansas City (3-14) bounced off the upright on the final play of the game, and the Spokane Shock escaped with a 49-48 victory over the Command in Arena Football League play Saturday night at the Sprint Center.

Kyle Rowley of Spokane (9-8) hit Jeffrey Solomon on a touchdown pass with 12 seconds left to pull the Shock within one. The Shock went for two and the win, and Rowley connected with Solomon on a comeback route in the front left corner of the end zone for the go-ahead points.

Prior to that, Kansas City scored with 53 seconds left for a 48-41 lead, but missed the extra point, opening the door for the Shock.

Rowley finished 32 of 52 for 320 yards and seven touchdowns. Rowley, who threw nine interceptions in his last two games, threw zero interceptions Saturday night.

Adron Tennell caught 11 passes for 101 yards and three TDs, and set a franchise record for single-season receptions (136) and single-season receiving yards (1,569), and tied former Shock wide receiver Huey Whittaker for the single-season record for touchdown catches (33). Kenny Spencer set a single-season record for PATs with 124.

Spokane's Patrick Stoudamire had seven tackles, and Paul Stephens had four tackles and an interception.

Spokane closes out the regular season next Saturday at home vs. Tampa Bay (8-9).
