Flower thief hits downtown Kalispell

Someone stole a number of floral decorations in downtown Kalispell, a caller told the Kalispell Police Department on Monday. The city’s large flower planters were reported missing at Main and First, Main and Second and Main and Third. Also stolen were flower baskets hanging on lamp posts along Main Street.

Criminal mischief was reported on South Main Street, where a building was damaged.

Groups of teenagers reportedly were using and selling marijuana at North Main Street and East Idaho Street.

A man on Eighth Avenue West told police he thinks his neighbor may be dealing drugs.

A woman on Fourth Avenue East reported a dead cat in the grass between the street and the sidewalk. She said she knows the animal warden doesn’t pick up dead cats but was hoping he might feel “generous” today.

Early Monday morning, a West Arizona Street man reported a suspicious car sitting in front of his house. He said was threatened by a gang member and was afraid it may be one of them. The car was empty.

Sunday evening, a man told police he would be getting his 11-year-old daughter from his ex-wife because his ex is dating a registered sex offender. The man wanted an officer there to talk to everyone about the legalities of the situation and what can be done to keep the offender away from his daughter. The child was exchanged, and the parties were counseled.

Earlier Sunday, a bike was reported stolen on Second Avenue West North.

A Northridge Road caller reported motorcyclists driving fast and recklessly through the neighborhood.

A woman on 10th Street West told police she was out of town for a month and asked someone to care for her dog. They didn’t, and now the dog is dead.

A woman on Liberty Street reported a shirtless man yelling and running around the property with blood all over himself. She said the man chased her into the laundry room where she locked herself away. The man was another tenant’s boyfriend. His girlfriend agreed to let him in and everyone was OK with that.

A Conrad Drive caller on Monday told the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office that he was seeing another man’s wife and now the man is upset and threatening to come blow up his house.

Two bikes were reported stolen on Ridgewood Drive.

Sunday evening, deputies responded to Bigfork for a man who kept hanging around a business and telling people his brother fell down a cliff. The man then tried to hitchhike before running off down the middle of Montana 35. The man was taken to the hospital.

A woman complained her phone was hacked, with people getting messages she did not send to them.

A Kalispell woman told deputies her 13-year-old daughter was sexually molested by an uncle who lives in another state.

Two 9 mm Luger handguns dating back to World War II were reported stolen from a home on Middle Road.

A Belton Stage man came home from dinner to find a man passed out in a car in his driveway.

A caller reported suspected foul play involving a woman who died Saturday morning. The caller requested an autopsy.

A Kila woman wanted to share information about a con artist working in the Flathead Valley.

A Batavia Lane man reported his home burglarized. Guns and a flat-screen TV were missing.

Money reportedly was taken from a wallet left in an unlocked vehicle on Old Morris Trail. Two other “ditched” wallets were found in the area.

Sunday morning, a Dode Road man told deputies he asked for extra day and night patrols and wanted to know if it was being done. He also wanted to know what deputies are doing about the burglaries at his home.

A Spring Creek Drive caller said his mailbox was tipped over again.

Sunday, Whitefish Police arrested someone after responding to a physical disturbance on Columbia Avenue.

Someone reported criminal mischief on Copperwood Court.

A man on South Veteran Drive told Columbia Falls Police that he saw a man in his 20s walking into the ball field with a rifle over his shoulder Sunday afternoon. Police were unable to locate the man.

A man was arrested during a traffic stop on Ninth Street West. According to police, he had two warrants from Columbia Falls, one from Flathead County and three from Montana Highway Patrol.

A gaming system and remote were reported stolen on Darlene Road.

Vandalism in Sacajawea Park was reported Sunday to the Polson Police Department.
