GREAT FALLS — The Glacier Twins AA couldn’t get the bats going on Tuesday, losing both ends of a doubleheader to the Great Falls Chargers at Don Olson Field in Great Falls.

The Twins stayed close in a tight opening game, scoring the first run of the game and holding at least a share of the lead into the fourth inning. Yet, they didn’t score again until the seventh, when they were able to rally for one run, falling a few shy in a 4-2 loss.

The second game wasn’t quite as close, as the Chargers answered a second inning run by Glacier with four of their own. Great Falls scored one more in the third and added four insurance runs in the sixth to win 9-1, holding the Twins to four hits for the second straight game.

Carl Talsma and Isaac Venezio picked up RBIs in the first game, while Garrett Houston was 2 for 2 with an RBI in the second game, accounting for half the teams hits.

The Twins will host their next four games, starting against the Missoula Mavericks on Friday and Saturday.
