Next Sunday’s Riverbend Concert Series performance will be from The Cantrells.

The Cantrells have been touring and performing their original folk and bluegrass music in concerts and festivals since 1985. Their performances feature Emily Cantrell’s songs and strong rhythm guitar and Al Cantrell’s contest-winning fiddling in traditional, swing and Irish styles.

The couple’s duet harmonies and variety of tunes ranging from traditional bluegrass to Broadway musicals promise a delightful evening of music and memories on Sunday, July 22 in Sliter Park at 7 p.m.

Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children and $20 for season passes. Guests are advised to bring their own seating, bug spray and, frequently, a picnic lunch to enjoy in this lovely setting. In case of rain, the concert will move to the United Methodist Church at the corner of Commerce and Electric Ave. For more information, call 837-5888 or 837-1344.
