Haley Marie Roland, born Oct. 2, 1987, in Kennewick, Wash., passed away July 11, 2012, at North Idaho Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Haley is the daughter of Shannon Turpin of Coeur d’Alene and Jeff Roland of Benton City, Wash.

After graduating from Post Falls High School in 2006, she went on to complete Army basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. After completion she went on to study nursing at North Idaho College. After living in Post Falls and Pasco, Wash., while growing up, she finally settled in Coeur d’Alene and worked as a bank teller at Bank of America in Post Falls, as well as bartending at Nosworthy’s and Rusty’s in Coeur d’Alene.

Haley enjoyed many outdoor activities such as motorcycle riding, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and having a good time with friends and family. She also enjoyed attending Lake City Community Church of Coeur d’Alene.

Haley is survived by her boyfriend, Kelsey Hood and his parents, Ed and Tina; and sister Kinsy of Coeur d’Alene. Married to Haley’s father Jeff is wife Traci along with her two brothers, Trevor and Austin in Benton City. Dad Dan Turpin and brother Kyle Turpin both of Post Falls, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, extended family and many friends. Haley was well loved and will be missed by many extended family members, close friends and church members. She will always be in our hearts and memories.

A Celebration of Life is planned from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.
