Mary Grace Lynn (Patano), 80, of Post Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 19, 2012. Mary was born to Mike and Donetta Patano on Sept. 30, 1931, in Kellogg. She was a 1949 graduate of Kellogg High School and a 1953 graduate of the University of Idaho.

Mary taught Home Economics at both Kellogg High School and Wallace High School. She earned her master’s degree in vocational counseling in 1975 from the University of Idaho and was a vocational counselor at North Idaho College from 1976 until she retired in 1993.

Mary was a faithful parishioner of St. George’s Catholic Church where she was active in many parish ministries. She was a loving mother to son Jerry Lynn and wife Kristi of Coeur d’Alene, daughter Donna Lynn of Post Falls, beloved grandmother of Jared Lynn and wife Rachael, Rachel Lynn, Janaye Lynn, and most delighted great-grandmother of Lina Kristine Lynn.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at St. George’s Catholic Church beginning with a rosary at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, and a funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012.

The family would also like to extend a special thank-you to Hospice of North Idaho for their loving care of Mary. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of North Idaho.
