Drunken revelers find trouble

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to U.S. 93 South after an assault was reported in which a 52-year-old man sustained a gash on his arm. Both he and the person who assaulted him were drunk, and no one chose to press charges.
It was reported that a pair of drunk men tried to burglarize a vehicle in a garage on Third Avenue West, then defecated in the garage.
A man contacted police stating a restaurant on East Idaho Street refused his payment and tried to get him in trouble. He reported employees were threatening and then a fight took place. The man was reportedly drunk and laying on the ground outside the business “trying not to bleed.”
A concerned resident reported a man walking with a prepubescent girl on Second Street West with his arm around her, leaning over to kiss her. The witness thought it was inappropriate.
It was reported that a bouncer was getting beaten up behind a bar on Airport Road.
Employees at a business on North Main Street reported a man walked in and asked them to watch his case, and security found drug paraphernalia and watches inside the case.
A Seventh Street West woman reported her mail was being stolen. She had been having problems with her mailbox staying up and had found a beer can inside it. She already reported the problems to the post office.
A West Wyoming Street resident reported her son’s car was wrapped in plastic wrap and covered in horse manure. She said they had been having problems with people egging the house and damaging their mailbox.
Three boys were arrested for theft and criminal mischief and released to their parents after a Fourth Avenue West resident reported them for possibly trying to break into cars.
A man was arrested for partner or family member assault after officers responded to a residence on Liberty Street where a woman was assaulted.
A First Avenue East resident requested an officer speak to her 9- and 10-year-old children about them trying to start a fire in the bathroom of their home.
A possible drug deal was reported on Wolfpack Way.
A Farview Drive resident found two capped syringes in his yard.
Someone slashed tires on two vehicles on Indian Trail Road.
A Walther PPS was stolen from a vehicle on West Colorado Street.
A black Dell computer was stolen on Fourth Avenue West North.
A purse was stolen on U.S. 93 South.
Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department arrested a motorist on Bethany Street.
A house on Riparian Drive and two vehicles on 11th Avenue West were egged.
