Lakers split with Med Hat; Mavs sweep Twins

The Kalispell Lakers split a conference doubleheader against Medicine Hat on Saturday at Griffin Field.
Dillon Matteson hit a home run and a double and drove in three runs to lead the Lakers to a 12-4 win in the second game.
Charlie Obermiller also had three RBIs in the game and Dillon Eaves pitched a complete game for the win.
The Lakers were tied 3-3 in the first game when Medicine Hat exploded for six runs in the fifth inning of the first game to secure what would be a 9-5 win.
Adam Frandsen went 3 for 4 from the plate in the loss and Matt McLean drove in two runs on one hit.

WHITEFISH — Time is running out for the Glacier Twins regarding picking up a victory in league play.
Glacier (6-39) overall, drops to 0-18 in league play with seven games left.
Jeremy Nielsen and Peter Seymour had big offensive outings for the Twins.
Nielsen was 3 for 4 in the opener. Seymour, 1 for 3, doubled in that game, but came back with a double and a home run in the finale and drove in three runs. He was 3 for 3 in that contest.
