James "Red" Lee Bower, 85

James "Red" Lee Bower, 85, resident of Post Falls, Idaho, died July 25, 2012, at his home under Auburn Crest Hospice Care. Red was born May 30, 1927 in Choctaw, Ark. to James C. and Frances (Cullum) Bowers. He lived in Reno, Nev. for many years and while there met and married his wife, Lois Evelyn Alberson on December 2, 1960. Red was a carpenter by trade working 29 years in Reno before moving to this area in 1983. He was well known for his vintage guitar shop and guitar hobby. Red and his wife enjoyed fishing and remodeled four motor homes updating and traveling for several years. He was a member of the Carpenters Union of the State of Nevada.

Red is survived by his loving wife, Lois, his brother C.D. (Clarence) of Monticello, Ark.; two sisters Lavern Hensley of Pangburn, Ark. and Anna J. Grant of Michigan,; his two step-daughters, Ellen I. Tervort of Rathdrum, and Marian K. Bliss Baker, of Post Falls, Idaho; his daughters from a previous marriage, Connie Smith and Deborah (Debo) Koontz, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Frank, of Reno, Nev. and a sister Iva Jean Bierschwale of Ark.
