A Post Falls man died in a Tuesday night crash on State Highway 200 near Clark Fork.

Kurt P. Henson, 47, died after the 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was driving struck an abrupt lane edge between the east- and westbound lanes in a construction zone, throwing Henson and his passenger, Kimberly Lennox, 43, also of Post Falls, from the motorcycle.

Lennox was transported to Bonner General Hospital where she was treated and released.

Police also said the driver of a Dodge pickup, Brianna Knapp, 28, was arrested for leaving the scene of the fatal crash.

Police said the pickup was following behind the motorcycle and struck both Henson, and the motorcycle. The pickup then fled the scene.

ISP is looking for an unknown female driver of a small two-door black car.

"This good Samaritan picked up a female driver of a disabled blue Dodge pickup on Highway 200 near milepost 53," police said in a press release. "We want to talk with the driver of the small black car and any other person who drove through the crash scene shortly after 10:30 p.m.

Henson was a police officer in Spokane.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact ISP at (208) 209-8620.

• Meanwhile, in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday on U.S. 95 south of Athol, driver Dennis Huntting, 46, Boise, was treated and released at Kootenai Medical Center and passenger Brenda Huntting, Boise, was not injured.

According to ISP, the 2005 Honda was northbound when Dennis Huntting applied his brakes in heavy traffic and lost control. The motorcycle left the east side of the road causing it to overturn.
