POST FALLS - Cowboy guitarist Chuck Pyle will perform on Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William, Post Falls.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. They can be reserved by calling 457-8950 or sending an email to [email protected].

An accomplished songwriter, Pyle's songs have been recorded by John Denver, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Suzy Bogguss. Country fans know him best for writing "Cadillac Cowboy" recorded by the late Chris LeDoux, and "Jaded Lover" recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker.

He mixes melodies with straight-from-the-saddle poetry and quotes bumper stickers, proverbs, world leaders and old cowboys.

Pyle's music - part cowboy, part new age - reflects a mystical connection to the landscape of the American West.

Pyle has taught at events such as The Puget Sound Guitar Workshop and The Swannanoa Gathering. He has played for Bill and Melinda Gates at their home in Seattle. Since writing the theme song for a PBS series called Spirit of Colorado, he's performed for the opening session of the Colorado Legislature.
