Paisley receives broadcast award
Joe Paisley, host of the North Idaho Joe in the Morning Show on KVNI 1080, received recognition from the Idaho State Broadcasters Association for Best Public Affairs radio broadcast in the state. Paisley joined the KXLY Radio Group in 2009 and began anchoring the morning show in 2010. In addition to his duties on KVNI, he's also an on-air personality for Rock 94 1/2 (94.5 FM). Paisley has a broadcasting/digital media degree from the University of Idaho. The KXLY North Idaho Broadcast Center is located at 504 E. Sherman Avenue in Coeur d'Alene.

Free shredding service offered by Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo will help local residents go green and fight fraud by offering free shredding services on Sat., Aug. 4. Community members are invited to bring up to 50 pounds of paper documents to be securely shredded on site and recycled.
The free event will be held in the bank's parking lot from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wells Fargo Hayden Lake Store, 204 W. Hayden Ave.
"This free event helps our community in two ways," said Christi Garcia, Panhandle District manager for Wells Fargo. "We're bringing attention to the importance of shredding documents containing information such as Social Security numbers and account numbers, and we're doing it in an environmentally friendly way."

Rathdrum Edward Jones accepting school supplies
The Rathdrum Edward Jones office, 6600 Commercial Park Ave., Suite 5, is accepting school supplies for kids in need. Supplies will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. during the week. Information: 687-5765
