AA State Legion Baseball: Twins face Billings Royals

The Glacier Twins will have the honor of closing out first-day play at the Montana/Alberta State AA American Legion baseball tournament on Wednesday at Memorial Park in Whitefish.
The Twins (6-45 overall) will face the Billings Royals (33-13) at 7 p.m.
In other first-day action, it’s the Bozeman Bucks vs. Great Falls Chargers at 9 a.m., Billings Scarlets vs. Missoula Mavericks at noon followed by the Medicine Hat Moose Monarchs vs. Helena Senators at 4 p.m.
The tournament runs through Aug. 5.
Daily tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors/students and $5 for children ages 5-12.
Festivities begin Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Memorial Park with a spaghetti feed. Tickets are $5. Former Major League Baseball pitcher Sterling Hitchcock will be the main speaker that evening. Hitchcock played for the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. He won the NLCS MVP Award with the Padres in 1998.
