Work is scheduled Monday and Tuesday on Kalispell’s annual chip-seal project, city officials said.

The Kalispell City Council in March awarded a $230,724 contract to Pavement Management Solutions of Columbia Falls for the project.

The chip-seal work initially was scheduled to be done in the first week of September, but has been moved forward.

City crews have been out filling potholes and sealing cracks before the chip sealing starts.

Roads scheduled to be done Monday include:

n First Street in its entirety.

n Montana Street from Eighth Avenue West North to Main Street, from Main Street to Third Avenue East North and from Fourth Avenue East North to Fifth Avenue East North.

n Seventh Street from Meridian Road to Fifth Avenue West and from Fourth Avenue West to Main Street.

Roads scheduled to be done Tuesday include:

n Woodland Park Hill from Woodland Avenue to Woodland Park Drive.

n Woodland Park Drive from East Idaho Street to Conrad Drive.

The Woodland Park road work may be moved to early morning or in the evening depending on the ability to work around pool hours and high usage time, the city said.

For more information about the road work, call the public works department at 758-7720.
