ANNIVERSARIES

Lee and Addie Taylor

60th Anniversary

Lee and Addie Taylor, of Careywood, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, with a family barbecue at their Careywood farm. Lee and Addie were married Aug. 2, 1952, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Astoria, Long Island, N.Y.

Lee started the Triple T Nursery tree farm with his sons in 1976 and retired in 1990. Addie worked for the Idaho Transportation Department in Coeur d'Alene for 23 years as a highway draftsman/designer and also retired in 1990.

Their six children and families are hosting the celebration: Mike Taylor of Murray; Kathleen Taylor of Sagle; Maureen Taylor Regan (Don) of Moscow; Eric Taylor (Mary) of Careywood; Tim Taylor (Julie) of Onaway and Trish Taylor Ponappa (Tilak) of Kodagu, India. Lee and Addie have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Ernest and Loretta Wilcox III

40th Anniversary

Earnest and Loretta celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Family and friends hosted a celebration on July 28, 2012, at the Holiday Inn Express in Hayden.

Ernest and Loretta have been blessed with three daughters, all of Coeur d'Alene; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-step-grandchild.

Philip and Margaret Collins

40th Anniversary

Philip and Margaret Collins are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Monday, July 30, 2012. They are high school sweethearts. They were married in the Wee Kirk o' the Heather Church, Forest Lawn, Glendale, Calif., July 1972.

Phil was serving in the Army at that time, stationed at Fort Detrick, Md. They have lived in Maryland, Hawaii and California. They moved to Coeur d'Alene in 2004.

An especially happy memory is that they were eating on the outside deck of the Cedars Floating Restaurant on their 32nd anniversary when they signed papers to purchase their home in Coeur d'Alene!

ENGAGEMENTS

Grimm-Benda

Kelsi Marie Grimm and Adam Russell Benda, both of Lewiston, are engaged to be married on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012.

Kelsi is the daughter of Vicki Grimm and the late Kirk Grimm of Kamiah. She graduated from Kamiah High School in 2005 and Lewis-Clark State College in 2008. She is employed at Regence BlueShield.

Adam is the son of Cliff and Terri Benda of St. Maries. He graduated from St. Maries High School in 2006 and Lewis-Clark State College in 2008. He is employed at Orofino Body Shop.

Olsen-Hansen

Timothy and Bobbie Jo Olsen are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Cozette Olsen to Ray Marcus Hansen II, both of Coeur d'Alene, son of Ana Estaban and Gregory Hansen.

The couple plans to wed at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at the bride's parents' home.

WEDDINGS

Avery-Stephens

Amanda Mae Avery and Johnathan Christian Stephens, both of Sanford, N.C., were united in marriage on May 19, 2012, at Crenshaw Hall in Wake Forest, N.C. Reverend Charles J. Jones III officiated the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Allan J. Avery Jr. A reception followed the ceremony.

Amanda is the daughter of Allan J. Avery Jr. of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Cynthia S. Avery of Rockwall, Texas. Johnathan is the son of John M. and Vickie H. Stephens of Fairmont, N.C.

Amanda is graduate of Post Falls High School and North Idaho College. Johnathan is a graduate of Avalon Academy in Dillon, S.C., and the University of North Carolina-Wilmington.

Maid of honor was Jocelyn Avery, sister of the bride, of Rockwall. Matron of honor was Hillory Wichman, friend of the bride, of Post Falls.

Man of honor was Brand Avery, brother of the bride, of Rathdrum, and Timothy Stone, friend of the bride, of Raleigh, N.C.

Best man was John M. Stephens, father of the groom, of Fairmont and David Stephens, brother of the groom, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Groomsmen were Ryan Jackle of Kernersville, N.C., and Dax Allred of Wilmington, N.C.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Justin Dean.

The couple honeymooned in Antigua. They will reside in Sanford.

Lawson-Williamson

Jeff and Diane Lawson are happy to announce the marriage of their daughter, Brenna to Jake Williamson, son of Julie and Jim Williamson of Coeur d'Alene.

The wedding took place on June 30, 2012, at the White House Event Center.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Montana with a degree in biology education and is currently seeking a full-time teaching position in Spokane. The groom is also a graduate of the University of Montana with degrees in both accounting and finance. He is currently a CPA with Moss Adams in Spokane.

The newlyweds traveled to Belize for their honeymoon and are currently living in Spokane.

BIRTHS

Bailee Ann Gordon was born at 4:26 p.m. June 16, 2012, to Brad Gordon and Melodie Moyer of Rathdrum. She weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. and was 21 inches long. She joins her proud big brother, Kyler. Maternal grandmother is Paula Kauffman of Coeur d'Alene. Paternal grandparents are Terry and JoAnn Gordon of Garwood.

Addison Lou Bennett was born at 5:37 p.m. June 23, 2012, to Sara L. and Robert V. Bennett of Post Falls. She weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. Sisters are Kaylee M., 4, and Tessa L., 3, Bennett. Grandparents are Carol Kelly of Hayden, Bob and Ann Bennett of Athol, and Bambi and Jay Bradley of Hayden.

Kenneth Alexander Jackson Campbell was born at 7:59 p.m. July 19, 2012, to Rebecca and John Campbell of Coeur d'Alene. He weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. Siblings are Garrett, Jake, Jessie, Sabrina, Hailey and Maia. Maternal grandparents are Alice and John Rutz. Paternal grandparents are Jack and Verdie Campbell.
