The Press has learned that Post Falls City Administrator Eric Keck will be the chief operating officer in charge of plant operations at Post Falls-based mining equipment manufacturer Ground Force Worldwide starting Sept. 1.

Keck submitted his letter of resignation to the city on Monday.

The COO position at Ground Force is a new one.

"As we continue to grow, we'll need more structure to go around that," CEO Ron Nilson said.

Nilson said the company has been searching to fill the position for about two years.

"The core values of this company are God first, family second and company third," Nilson said. "Eric possesses that."
