EPHRATA - Four Grant County Sheriff's deputies were recently appointed Special United States Deputy Marshals as staffing for the Marshal's regional violent offender task force.

Grant County Deputies David DeLaRosa, Ricardo Char, Darrik Gregg and Sergeant Dean Hallatt received the oath of office May 10 from Craig Thayer, United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Washington.

Their appointments add to the manpower of the Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force, whose mission it is to locate and apprehend violent and dangerous fugitives throughout Eastern Washington.

"I'm very proud of our deputies and for the hard work of the entire Eastern Washington Fugitive Task Force," said Sheriff Tom Jones. "The relationship we have with the U.S. Marshals has helped and will continue to help us find and arrest countless felons throughout Grant County.
