The skies grew black. The wind picked up. But the storm, fittingly, held off until the main event.
Then it poured.
As the skies went ink Whitefish fighters were wrapping up a stellar night in the boxing ring at the annual Cat-Dog Smoker in Whitefish June 4.
The Bulldog boxers this year drubbed the Wildcats 10 matches to four. The Bulldogs haven’t beat the Cats in years.
The event is a fundraiser for the Glacier Twins American Legion baseball team and an enthusiastic crowd came out to watch the fights at Memorial Park.

XC standout to run from Lakeside to Glacier
Flathead High School cross-country runner Zach Perrin will run from his home in Lakeside to the west entrance of Glacier National Park this Saturday, Dec. 17.
