County names petition signature checkers

The Kootenai County elections office's recall petition signature verification team includes a dozen people who will be working from Tuesday through June 19 to confirm the validity of the thousands of signatures expected to be on the recall petitions that will be turned in Monday. Petitioners have been gathering signatures since April 5 in an effort to oust the Coeur d'Alene city mayor and three council members.
