Athletes brave the cold and wind during Herron Park race

Eighty runners descended in Kalispell on a cold, windy morning to run the Herron half marathon and 10K race. Peter Heyboer won the half marathon by more than two minutes, finishing in 1 hour, 48 minutes, 17.3 seconds.
Katie French was the first female to finish, crossing the line in 1:58:04.7. Seattle’s Brett Winegar won the 10K race, finishing nearly 10 minutes in front of every other runner in 36:48.9.
Whitefish’s Leah Tracy won the women’s side, finishing in 48:30.2.
