Glacier student named to statewide advisory board

Anna Deleray from Glacier High School is among 31 new members of the 2012-13 Office of Public Instruction Student Advisory Board.
Deleray will be a senior next year.
The purpose of the board is to include student opinions and ideas about state educational policies affecting them.
Student Advisory Board members were nominated by local schools and community members. Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau received 85 nominations.
The board consists of 40 high school students from 36 Montana schools.
The first meeting of the board will be Oct. 11 and 12 in Helena.
The Student Advisory Board is a component of Juneau’s statewide initiative, Graduation Matters Montana.
Graduation Matters aims to increase the number of students who graduate from high school, ensuring students graduate college and career-ready.
