SPOKANE - Mike Alston recovered a pair of fumbles in the third quarter - returning one 14 yards for a touchdown - as the Spokane Shock pulled away for a 70-46 triumph over the Kansas City Command in Arena Football League play Saturday night before 8,674 at the Spokane Arena.

Spokane (7-5) and Kansas City (2-10) were tied at 28 at halftime.

Alston's first fumble recovery led to Andrew Nierman's 1-yard run for a 42-28 Shock lead. He returned the second one for a TD to hike Spokane's lead to 56-34.

Kyle Rowley passed for 272 yards and eight touchdowns and no intereptions for Spokane. KC quarterback Brian Jones passed for six scores - five to Bret Smith - but was intercepted twice, both by Pat Stoudamire, who now has five on the season.

All told, the Command had five turnovers, the Shock one.
