A fly-fishing film tour will come to West Glacier Saturday as part of Glacier Anglers’ Cast Off 2012.

The daylong event features free casting instruction, product demonstrations and an all-ages casting competition. The film tour will cap off the event that evening.

Nine short fly-fishing films shot around the world — including Kodiak Island, the Yukon, Belize, Florida and Craig, Mont. — will be screened.

“The films showcase the natural beauty, the lifestyle, the people and the phenomenal fish that make up our timeless sport and will be a great cap to a fun, fly-fishing inspired day,” said Ryan Thompson of Glacier Outdoor Center.

The first showing runs from 5 to 7 p.m.; the second showing is from 8 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Tickets are available at the Glacier Outdoor Center, the Stonefly Lounge in Coram and Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish. There are 150 tickets available for each showing.

An intermission raffle will be held with prizes available from the Glacier Outdoor Center and other local sponsors. Proceeds will benefit Flathead Valley Trout Unlimited.

Glacier Anglers is located at 12400 U.S. 2 E. in West Glacier.
