Eastern Washington to face

Sam Houston State in 2013, '14

Eastern Washington University and Sam Houston State, both of which have reached the NCAA Division I football championship game in the last two seasons, will play a home-and-home series beginning in 2013.

Eastern, who won the title in 2012, will travel to Huntsville, Texas on Sept. 28, 2013, and will host the Bearkats, who lost in last year's FCS title game, on Sept. 13, 2014 in Cheney.

In their only previous meeting, Sam Houston State rallied in the fourth quarter for a 35-34 win over the Eagles in Cheney on Dec. 5, 2004, as the Bearkats won the game's final play, scoring three touchdowns in the final 11:04 after Eastern had taken a 34-14 lead.
