Twins rained out

The Glacier Twins AA Legion Baseball club’s game with Mission Valley was rained out last week. The team’s next home game is set for Saturday, June 16, with the alumni game at 6 p.m.

The Twins are 6-17-1 through 24 games. They’re is hitting .254 with 97 runs scored. Garrett Houston leads the club with 10 RBIs, followed by Carl Talsma with nine RBIs in just 10 games. Talsma is hitting .355.

No one has tallied a home run so far this year.

On the mound, the pitching staff has posted a 5.94 ERA with 193 runs allowed. Cory Davis, Connor Donahue and Houston have accounted for 82 innings pitched. Donahue has an ERA of 3.65 to lead the trio of starters.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
