Clerk won't spill election date beans

So what date would Coeur d’Alene City Clerk Susan Weathers have selected?

If there had been enough certified signatures Monday to prompt a recall election against four Coeur d’Alene incumbents, when would it have been?

Would it have been the first possible option, Aug. 28?

Or maybe it would have been Nov. 6 — the same day as when America chooses its President?

Surely, Weathers wouldn’t have shocked everyone and declared the election for March, or May, the other two options from which she had to choose.

Or would she have?

One thing is certain, it was Weathers who would have had to make the call.

So, The Press asked her, if there had been election, when would it have been?

“No one will ever know,” she responded.
