Avery wins age group at MSGA Junior Championship

BOZEMAN — Teigan Avery of Kalispell won the 14-15 age group at the Montana State Golf Association Junior Championship on Tuesday at Riverside Golf Course.
Avery shot 83-78—161 to finish seven shots ahead of Kortney McNeil of Billings.
Avery was second overall, five shots behind Maggie Crippen of Missoula. Crippen, 77-79—156, won the 16-17 age group.
Ryggs Johnston of Libby finished second in 12-and-Under while Logan Iverson of Kalispell was third in the 16-17 age group and overall.
Johnston shot 74-69—143 to finish one shot behind Joey Moore of Billings.
Iverson, 70-72—142, finished two shots behind the winner, Tom Swanson of Missoula.
Bobby Frank of Sidney was the runner-up and one shot off the pace.
