A 5-year-old Polson boy died on Saturday morning when the vehicle he was in rolled over on I-90 near Hardin, Montana Highway Patrol reports. Big Horn County coroner Terry Bullis identified the boy, who was dead on arrival at the scene, as Bradley Trogdent of Polson.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol reports, a 4-year-old boy was also flown to a children’s hospital in Denver and a 27-year-old Polson woman was sent to St. Vincent Healthcare’s intensive-care unit in Billings with life-threatening injuries.

BILLINGS — A 5-year-old Polson boy died on Saturday morning when the vehicle he was in rolled over on I-90 near Hardin, Montana Highway Patrol reports. Big Horn County coroner Terry Bullis identified the boy, who was dead on arrival at the scene, as Bradley Trogdent of Polson.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol reports, a 4-year-old boy was also flown to a children’s hospital in Denver and a 27-year-old Polson woman was sent to St. Vincent Healthcare’s intensive-care unit in Billings with life-threatening injuries.

All three were in a golden Chevy S-10 Blazer and the 27-year-old woman was driving eastbound between Billings and Hardin. At approximately 6:10 a.m., the driver reportedly fell asleep and drifted into the median, woke up and over-corrected, which caused the car to lose control.

None of the three were wearing seat belts and all three were ejected from the vehicle. The Montana State Patrol said the cause of death for Trogdent was blunt-force trauma.

No alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident and the roads were reported as bare and dry. Along with the Montana Highway Patrol, Big Horn County medical and fire services also responded to the accident scene.
