Man shoots dog being walked without leash

A distraught dog owner contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after she was walking her Doberman/boxer mix without a leash and a man roughly 10 yards away pulled out a gun and shot the dog, killing it.
A transient was reported passed out near a car dealership on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell. The person who made the report complained that they were tired of picking up the garbage left by the transient. Officers gave the transient a bag, and he used it to pick up his trash and then left.
A woman was arrested on several misdemeanor warrants after being reported as part of a verbal disturbance on Swan Way in Bigfork.
A transient camp was reported between Eighth Avenue West, 11th Avenue West and Ashley Creek.
A drunk woman showed up at a friend’s house covered in grass and dirt and reported that a man had just assaulted her.
An East Evergreen Drive resident reported that a neighbor grabbed several baby ducks and put them in his garage.
Marijuana and a pipe were found inside a red bag donated to a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department responded to a bar on U.S. 93 South, where four people were reported fighting with broken bottles. A group of 30 to 40 people were outside at the time. No charges were pressed, but a woman found unconscious behind the bar was transported to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
Officers had to deal with one woman twice overnight, first at a bar on Meridian, where she was reported very drunk and refusing to leave. She was then transported to an apartment building on Eighth Street West. About two hours later, officers were called back to the apartment building where the woman was part of another disturbance. She was then transported to a location on Liberty Street.
A man and woman were reported panhandling on East Idaho Street.
