Sexual assault report under investigation

Sunday afternoon, an employee at Kalispell Regional Medical Center reported a sexual assault on a minor to the Kalispell Police Department. The report was forwarded to the sheriff’s office.
A woman on Third Avenue East told police that someone went through her vehicle, stealing change and possibly paperwork.
Early Sunday morning, a drunk man banging on a neighbor’s door at a hotel was advised to settle down and sleep it off.
Two juveniles found on bikes on West Wyoming Street at 3 a.m. were turned over to their mothers with verbal warnings. Police advised the mothers would handle the discipline.
A woman on East Nevada Street opened a window and saw a short man in her yard. She said he ran off as soon as she spotted him.
A suspected burglary attempt was reported on Second Avenue West. No one gained entry.
Saturday evening, an employee at a business on West Idaho Street reported a woman inhaling compressed air.
A vehicle was reported stolen on North Meridian Road, possibly by the caller’s runaway daughter.
Saturday morning, someone on Colorado Avenue reported a missing person to the Whitefish Police Department.
An assault was reported on Colorado Avenue later that morning.
Police investigated a criminal mischief reports on U.S. 93 and East Second Street later that night.
Polson Police Department officers arrested someone for a motor vehicle theft early Saturday morning.
Saturday morning, Columbia Falls Police Department officers responded to a report of a large group of people fighting in a parking lot on Seventh Street West. They advised it was a brief altercation over a child.
A woman was cited for driving under the influence and released to a sober friend after police stopped her on Ninth Street West.
