BOISE (AP) — A group working to overturn Idaho's new education reforms has officially launched its statewide effort to convince voters to dump the new laws at the ballot box this fall.

Teachers, parents and activists launched "Vote No on Propositions 1, 2 and 3" during a rally outside Boise High School on Tuesday.

Campaign Chairman Mike Lanza says the laws approved in 2011 are bad for students, teachers and public education across the state.

The group is urging voters to reject the reforms in November.

The laws pushed by public schools chief Tom Luna and Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter restrict collective bargaining options for teachers, eliminate tenure, phase in the use of laptop computers and require online courses.

More than 75,000 people signed petitions to put three repeal measures on the ballot.
