Several windows were broken between midnight Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday at the Libby Volunteer Fire Department firehouse. Fire Chief Tom Wood said five windows were broken with rocks, three of which were readily visible from the street.

“It’s pretty sad,” Wood said. “I’ve been doing this for 40 years I haven’t had this happen before.”

A nearby residence also reported a rock being thrown through a window. The police could not be reached for comment at press time.
