Shenanigans at skate park

The Kalispell Police Department received several reports of activity in the area around Woodland Skate Park:

• A Woodland Water Park employee witnessed several children between 2 and 6 years old blowing up garbage cans with fireworks in front of the skate park.

• A youth was cited and released for smoking at the skate park.

• A man was cited and released for riding a motorbike in the area near Woodland Skate Park.

A woman came out of a Sixth Street West house shouting, “I don’t want your sex. Get out of my house.”

Three teenagers were seen trying to open car doors on East Wyoming Street. When they realized they were being watched, they ran away.

A city public works employee reported finding broken beer bottles and substantial damage on three football fields at Kidsports. The employee said it appeared that vehicles had been driving on the fields.

Possible drug activity was reported on 13th Street East, where several 18- to 20-year-olds were congregating. Ongoing issues with underage parties have been reported in the area, including one resident waking up to a drunk woman crying in the resident’s front yard.

A Coca-Cola machine was recovered behind the former Gateway West Mall after being stolen from the fairgrounds.

A man was seen urinating in public at Buffalo Hill Golf Course.

A person was reported huffing something inside a vehicle in a parking lot at Hutton Ranch Plaza.

A woman was cited for having an open container on Second Avenue West.

A laptop and an iPod were stolen from a pair of vehicles broken into on Third Avenue East.

A concerned Middle Road resident in Columbia Falls contacted the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after witnessing five teenagers in the ditch with a baby stroller, trying to get the baby to touch the electric fence. The resident reported being called names and dared to call the police by the teens.

A pair of wayward 3-year-old boys spurred a call when a Maple Drive resident found them walking around in their underwear and in her pool. When she took them home, she found two teenagers who were supposed to be watching the boys. The teens did not seem to be concerned. Parents were warned that another similar call would result in child and parent services being contacted.

Someone tried to break into a vending machine, spread oil around it and tried to start a fire with several pallets on Cooperative Way.

Someone tried to pry open the front gate of a property on Forest Drive.

A man was seen stumbling out of a house on Sixth Avenue West with three beers in his hands. He then climbed into a truck and drove away.

A man was seen getting out of his vehicle in the middle of Kienas Road North, visibly drunk, to pee in the middle of the road. He then got back in and drove off at a slow speed.

Youths were reported shooting cars with paintball guns on U.S. 93 North in Kalispell.

A .45-caliber Ruger handgun was stolen on Hemler Creek Drive by a person believed to be on drugs.

Gasoline was siphoned from a vehicle on Ezy Drive.

A tractor tire was stolen on Jensen Road in Columbia Falls.

An Eighth Avenue West contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department after someone egged their house.

A 5-gallon gas can and a gas cap were stolen from a recreational vehicle on Eighth Street West.

A theft was reported on Ninth Street West.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a person during a traffic stop on East Lakeshore Drive.

Indecent exposure was reported on Wisconsin Avenue.

A burglary was reported on West Second Street.

Criminal mischief was reported on Wisconsin Avenue.

Officers with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person for aggravated assault on U.S. 93.

A motorist was arrested after refusing to take a breath alcohol test on Curlew Drive.

Officers with the Ronan Police Department arrested a person for possession of dangerous drugs while attempting to serve a warrant on U.S. 93.

Suspicious activity was reported in the area of a hardware store.

The Polson Police Department received a report of theft on Sixth Avenue East.
