Huffing incidents lead to arrests

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department arrested two women for huffing intoxicants in separate incidents.
One woman was arrested for possession of an intoxicating substance after being seen huffing from an aerosol can in a wrecked vehicle on North Meridian Road. Another woman was arrested for huffing on Appleway Drive. Child and parent services took her autistic son.
A pair of teenage girls were arrested then released to their parents after being caught stealing makeup from a store on Third Avenue East North.
A teenager was seen trying to steal a bicycle in Woodland Park. When approached by an officer, he said he wasn’t trying to steal the bicycle, just “checking it out.” He was told to leave it alone until the rightful owner returned for it.
A group of skateboarders stole a sign off a fence on West Railroad Street. The owner of the sign chose not to press charges after making an agreement with the youths to replace the sign.
A man was arrested for obstructing a peace officer after a fight was reported on 11th Street West.
Possible drug trafficking was reported at an apartment on East Idaho Street.
A First Avenue East North woman reported her neighbors cut down the trees in her yard while she was out of town.
A group of people were counseled by officers after being reported for illegally discharging fireworks on Second Street West.
A suspicious man was reported sitting in a truck watching children at Lawrence Park.
A mountain bike frame was stolen on Teal Drive.
The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of several youths climbing into a train near Diane Road and stealing recyclable metal.
A group of people were advised that the jail was closed and to move along after they were reported hanging out on a closed trail behind a property on Third Avenue West.
Several youths were reported illegally setting off fireworks on Martha Road.
Officers with the Whitefish Police Department made arrests during traffic stops on East Second Street, Spokane Avenue and Edgewood Place.
Officers investigated a report of the illegal use of fireworks on Columbia Avenue.
Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a person for aggravated assault while investigating a report of partner or family member assault on Demers Lane in Polson.
The Polson Police Department investigated an incident of criminal trespassing on B Avenue.
Criminal mischief was discovered at Salish Point Park.
The Ronan Police Department received a report of theft from a vehicle on Eighth Avenue North West.
