Edwin Glass, 65, a resident of Thompson Falls, Montana and formerly of Moses Lake, passed away, Monday, February 20, 2012 in Arizona due to an ATV accident. Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1142 W. Ivy. Interment will be at noon, Monday, March 5, 2012 at Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville, Washington. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Ed was born May 10, 1946 in Clarinda, Iowa, son of Leonard P. and Dorothy (Payton) Glass. The family moved to Chewelah and Ed attended Chewelah High School before entering the National Guard, Ephrata Unit. He married Karen Marie Henderson on Sept. 4, 1966 in Moses Lake. Ed started out custom farming with his father L.P. in Moses Lake and when L.P. passed away, Ed took over the operation. In 1988, Ed and Karen moved to Thompson Falls, Montana where they have lived since. Before retiring Ed spent many years as a boilermaker mechanic. With this job he often traveled throughout the United States. He was an active member of the Boilermakers Local 242 and a member of the Elks Lodge. Ed's hobbies included race car driving and spent many hours driving car #8 at the Ephrata Speedway. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing (especially in Alaska), and riding ATV's. He loved spending time with family and friends, and will be greatly missed. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Karen Glass, Thompson Falls, MT; mother, Dorothy Glass, Moses Lake; son, Robert Glass & partner, Scott Shaffer, Kent, WA; daughter, Christine Petty, Benton City, WA; grandsons, Alex and Cody Petty, Benton City; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Norm Benson, Moses Lake; brother, Philip Glass, Moses Lake; sister-in-law, Paulette Duncalf, Oregon; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, L.P. Glass, brother, Jim Glass and son-in-law, Joe Petty.
